"The Legend has it that there was a Hotel that existed around 1912 in the midwest that was owned by a very wealthy businessman. The Hotel was state-of-the-art and no expense had been spared to make it the most beautiful and lavious hotel anyone in the area had ever seen. People would come from miles around just to stay at the hotel and enjoy the luxuries it had to offer. The Owner was famous for the many parties he would throw in the the Penthouse Suite. His most famous being his annual Hallows Eve Party thrown on October 31st.

The Owner of the Hotel had a Nephew who liked to Gamble. Unfortunately, he was not very good at it and he owned a lot of money to a lot of very shady people. On the night of his Uncles Hallows Eve Party he came to the Hotel and begged his Uncle to help him repay his gambling debts. His Uncle refused and had him thrown out on the street. His Nephew was so angry that he vowed revenge. Later that evening is is said that the Nephew returned to the Hotel, boarded up all the exits and set the place on fire, trapping the party goers inside.

Only once the fire had been put out was the horror of the tragedy realized. Bloody bodies were everywhere and there were no clues to the Killer. How had he escaped the fire when all the exits were blocked? One person is said to have survived the tragedy and that was because he found the 13TH DOOR.

To this day you can still hear the screams of those trapped inside the Hotel. It is said that the Killer still haunts the hotel seeking revenge."

There are several variations of this story. For instance, in one version the Owner of the Hotel goes mad and ends up killing all of the guests at his party. He then escapes through the secret 13TH DOOR, but ends up trapping himself and dies.

Still another version has everyone escaping the fire by using a dump waiter that has been dubbed 'the 13TH DOOR'. In this sceniero everyone is taken to a room behind the walls where the killer is waiting to attack them as they climb out of the Dumb Waiter.
